- 8 rice paper wrappers
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 cucumber, julienned
- 1 carrot, julienned
- For dipping sauce:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon chili paste
Instructions
- Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Drain excess fat and stir in garlic, soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes, simmering for 2-3 minutes.
- Soak a rice paper wrapper in warm water for about 10-15 seconds until soft.
- Assemble the roll with beef mixture, basil, cucumber, and carrot.
- Fold the sides in and roll tightly from the bottom up.
- Repeat until all filling and wrappers are used.
- Mix together soy sauce, lime juice, and chili paste for the dipping sauce.
- Serve on a platter with dipping sauce.
Notes
Make the filling ahead of time and store it in the fridge for up to 3 days. Try air frying for extra crunch.
