- 150g unsalted butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- 200g fresh strawberries, chopped

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a round cake pan.
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Incorporate the zest and juice of one lemon into the mixture.
- Combine the flour and baking powder in a separate bowl.
- Fold the dry mixture into your butter mixture until just combined.
- Wash and chop the fresh strawberries and gently fold them into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and level it out.
- Bake for 30–40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Dust with powdered sugar and adorn with whipped cream or fresh berries.
