Description

Delicious bites that combine the flavors of classic jalapeño poppers and pigs in a blanket, featuring mini sausages wrapped in flaky pastry with a creamy, spicy filling.


Ingredients

  • 1 package mini cocktail sausages or small smoked sausages
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 fresh jalapeños, chopped
  • 1 sheet puff pastry or crescent roll dough
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into strips 1-2 inches wide.
  3. Wrap each sausage with a strip of dough, sealing the ends tightly.
  4. Combine softened cream cheese with chopped jalapeños in a mixing bowl.
  5. Spoon the cream cheese mixture onto each sausage before wrapping.
  6. Place the wrapped sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Brush the tops with melted butter.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes
