Description

Indulge in creamy, dreamy Homemade Shrimp Alfredo with tender fettuccine, succulent shrimp, and a rich garlic Parmesan sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside, saving some pasta water.
  2. Sauté the minced garlic in melted butter over medium heat for about one minute.
  3. Add the shrimp, seasoning with salt and pepper, cooking until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer, then stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted.
  5. Combine the cooked fettuccine with the sauce and shrimp, tossing to coat.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For a lighter dish, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream. Add cooked vegetables for extra nutrition or spice it up with red pepper flakes.
