Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set it aside.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar using a mixer until light and fluffy—about 3-5 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges. Insert a toothpick in the middle; it should come out clean.
- Prepare the frosting by beating together cream cheese and butter until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fluffy.
- Spread the frosting over the cooled bars and cut into squares.
