Description

Delicious and nourishing steak fajita bowls featuring tender strips of steak, colorful bell peppers, and zesty lime juice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Avocado (optional)
  • Sour cream (optional)
  • Cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the steak against the grain into strips about 1/2 inch wide and season with garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the seasoned steak in the skillet for 3-4 minutes until browned.
  4. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest.
  5. Sauté the sliced bell peppers and onions in the same skillet for about 5 minutes.
  6. Combine the steak and sautéed vegetables, mixing them well.
  7. Drizzle with lime juice before serving.
  8. Serve the mixture in bowls topped with optional avocado, sour cream, or cheese.

Notes

Allow steak to rest before slicing to keep it juicy. Customize with additional toppings as desired.
