Description
A succulent grilled chicken recipe coated in rich BBQ sauce that promises smoky flavors and juicy perfection.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken breasts (skinless, boneless or thighs)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped herbs for garnish (fresh parsley or cilantro)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill: Heat that solid metal for 10-15 minutes, allowing it to reach medium-high temperature.
- Prepare the spice rub: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Season the chicken: Generously rub the spice mixture all over the chicken breasts.
- Get grilling: Place the seasoned chicken on the grill, cooking for 6-7 minutes per side.
- Add the BBQ sauce: In the last few minutes of grilling, brush on the BBQ sauce, letting it create a sticky glaze.
- Check the temperature: Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Let it rest: Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes after grilling.
Notes
You can marinate the chicken in BBQ sauce for deeper flavor. If grilling isn’t an option, bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 25-30 minutes.
