Description

Delightful peach fritters featuring a crispy exterior and tender, juicy center, topped with a sweet glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup peaches, diced
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.
  2. Mix the milk, egg, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl until smooth.
  3. Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in the diced peaches.
  5. Heat oil in a deep fryer or pot to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Transfer fritters to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
  8. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth for the glaze.
  9. Drizzle the glaze over warm fritters before serving.

Notes

You can replace peaches with apples or blueberries. For a healthier version, try baking or air frying them.
