Description

A delightful apple cake with tender pieces of juicy apple, cinnamon, and a soft, buttery crumb.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups apples, peeled and chopped
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the apples by peeling, coring, and chopping them into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Mix the butter and sugars in a large bowl until light and fluffy, adding eggs one at a time.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, and cinnamon in another bowl, then alternately add to the butter mixture with milk.
  5. Fold the apples into the batter until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
