- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder

- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chunks
- 1 cup salted caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy removal of cookies.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar with an electric mixer until smooth and fluffy—about 4 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl, then gradually fold this dry mixture into the wet ingredients.
- Fold in the chocolate chunks until well combined.
- Scoop portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about two inches apart, and press down slightly in the center.
- Fill each well with a dollop of salted caramel sauce.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are firm but the centers remain soft and gooey.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For chewier cookies, increase the brown sugar or add an additional egg yolk. Can be made ahead and refrigerated.
