Description

Flaky cruffins combine the beloved textures of croissants and muffins, perfect for brunch or a cozy snack with various sweet fillings.

Ingredients

  • Croissant Dough
  • Sugar
  • Fillings (e.g., chocolate, fruit jams, cream cheese)
  • Glaze (Optional: powdered sugar and milk)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the croissant dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Cut the dough into large triangles (approx. 6 inches at the base).
  4. Starting from the wide end, roll each triangle into a cylinder.
  5. Place the rolled dough in a greased muffin tin.
  6. Sprinkle sugar on top and add your favorite fillings.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly and finish with glaze, if desired.

Notes

You can refrigerate assembled cruffins overnight before baking. Consider using thicker fillings to prevent sogginess.
