Description

Deliciously sweet and chewy banana chocolate chip cookies that balance rich banana flavor with melted chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mashed bananas (about 2 medium-sized)
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add the mashed bananas, egg, and vanilla extract, blending until smooth.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly into the dough.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden and the centers remain soft.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

Using overripe bananas enhances sweetness. Don’t skip the cooling step for proper texture.
