Description

Indulge in soft, gooey Banana Chocolate Chip Blondies that blend the natural sweetness of ripe bananas with rich chocolate chips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 overripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. Mash the overripe bananas until smooth, leaving no lumps.
  3. Mix in the brown sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Stir in the egg until fully incorporated, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for optimum sweetness. Avoid overmixing to maintain a soft texture.
