- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup cherry pie filling
- Powdered sugar for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Blend the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Whisk together the eggs and milk until fully combined.
- Cut the bread into thick slices, about 1-inch wide, and layer half in a greased baking dish.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the first layer of bread.
- Top with the remaining bread slices.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread, allowing it to soak for 15-20 minutes.
- Spread the cherry pie filling on top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar.
