Description

A luscious baked French toast filled with creamy cheesecake and topped with cherry pie filling, perfect for brunch or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of soft bread (brioche or challah)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup cherry pie filling
  • Powdered sugar for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Blend the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Whisk together the eggs and milk until fully combined.
  4. Cut the bread into thick slices, about 1-inch wide, and layer half in a greased baking dish.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the first layer of bread.
  6. Top with the remaining bread slices.
  7. Pour the egg mixture over the bread, allowing it to soak for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Spread the cherry pie filling on top.
  9. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar.
