Description

A refreshing and vibrant salad featuring grated carrots, sesame oil, and a delightful blend of flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large carrots, grated
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Red pepper flakes to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by grating the carrots into delicate strands using a box grater or a food processor.
  2. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey or maple syrup, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Pour the dressing over the mound of grated carrots and gently toss to ensure every strand is coated.
  4. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and garnish with cilantro for added color.
  5. Serve immediately or refrigerate for about 15 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to three days. Avoid freezing to maintain texture.
