Description

Delicious fish tacos featuring crispy air-fried fish and a zesty cilantro lime slaw, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lb tilapia or white fish (mahi-mahi, cod, etc.)
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp cayenne
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp cracked pepper
  • c cole slaw mix
  • 3 T mayonnaise
  • 1 T lime juice
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • c chopped cilantro
  • ½ tsp sugar (optional)
  • ¼ tsp sea salt (more or less to taste)
  • ¼ tsp cracked pepper
  • Tortillas (flour or corn)
  • Extra lime juice (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F and lightly spray the basket with oil.
  2. Whisk together the chili powder, oregano, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne, onion powder, cumin, sea salt, and cracked pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Pat the fish dry and brush with olive oil, then coat with the spice mixture.
  4. Place the fish in the air fryer basket and cook for 8-10 minutes until it is opaque and flakes apart.
  5. Combine the cole slaw ingredients in another bowl, tossing until well coated.
  6. Cut the fish into bite-sized pieces once cooked.
  7. Assemble the tacos by placing fish and slaw into warmed tortillas and drizzle with lime juice.
  8. Enjoy immediately or store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

Notes

You can prepare the fish and slaw ingredients a day in advance. Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the air fryer.
