Description

Juicy turkey burgers infused with Thai flavors and served with a creamy peanut sauce and fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (for the sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha (optional)
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons warm water
  • 4 burger buns, toasted
  • 1 cup shredded carrot
  • 1 cup cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, green onions, cilantro, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, lime juice, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Gently mix until just combined.
  2. Divide the turkey mixture into four equal portions and form them into uniform patties.
  3. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat, lightly oiling the surface.
  4. Sizzle your patties for about 5 to 6 minutes per side until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. Whisk together the peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, honey, and sriracha in a separate bowl, adding warm water until smooth.
  6. Spread a dollop of peanut sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun, add the turkey patty, and drizzle with more peanut sauce.
  7. Layer with shredded carrots, cucumber slices, cilantro, and red onion, then finish with the top bun.
  8. Serve immediately with extra peanut sauce on the side.

Notes

For best results, avoid overmixing the burger mixture. You can substitute ground chicken or beef if desired.
