Description

Delight in these soft and pillowy brioches filled with chocolate chips and vanilla custard, perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g all-purpose flour
  • 75g sugar
  • 10g salt
  • 10g instant yeast
  • 250ml warm milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 200g unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 200g chocolate chips
  • 250ml vanilla custard

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Whisk the warm milk and eggs in a separate bowl.
  3. Pour the milk-egg mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  4. Add the softened butter and knead into a silky dough for about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the risen dough and roll it out into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  7. Spread the vanilla custard over the dough and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  8. Roll the dough into a log, slice into pieces, and place in a baking dish.
  9. Let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Cool before serving.

Notes

Serve with coffee or fresh berries for a delightful experience. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
