- 1 pound bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic powder, ground ginger, and black pepper. Stir until well blended. Add chicken, ensuring each piece is fully coated. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Drizzle olive oil over the marinated chicken. Arrange chicken thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, skin side up. Cook for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Remove chicken and let it rest for 5 minutes, then drizzle with more sweet chili sauce before serving.
Notes
For deeper flavor, marinate chicken the night before. If you lack an air fryer, bake at 425°F (220°C) for 35–40 minutes.
