Description

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Cut heart shapes from the pastry using a cookie cutter or knife.
  4. Prepare the cream cheese filling by combining softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl and whisking until smooth.
  5. Add a spoonful of cream cheese mixture into the center of each heart shape.
  6. Top with sliced strawberries.
  7. Create a border by folding the edges of the pastry over slightly.
  8. Brush the edges with the beaten egg for a shiny finish.
