Description

Indulge in soft, fluffy rolls filled with creamy strawberry cheesecake, perfect for brunch or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for filling)
  • 1 cup strawberry jam or fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 12 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. In a separate bowl, heat milk and butter until warm. Combine and add egg.
  2. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, about 5-7 minutes. Let rise in a warm spot for an hour until doubled in size.
  3. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the cream cheese filling. Sprinkle strawberries on top, roll tightly, and cut into pieces.
  4. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  6. Mix powdered sugar with milk for glaze and drizzle over warm rolls before serving.

Notes

Feel free to substitute strawberries with raspberries or blueberries. For a make-ahead option, prepare the rolls the night before and refrigerate overnight.
