Description

Indulge in this decadent breakfast treat with rich cream cheese and juicy strawberries nestled between golden brioche slices, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cup Sliced Fresh Strawberries
  • 8 slices Brioche or Texas Toast
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1/3 cup Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract (for batter)
  • Butter for Frying
  • Maple syrup, powdered sugar, extra strawberries, and whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cheesecake Filling: In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 1/4 tsp vanilla extract until silky smooth.
  2. Assemble the Sandwiches: Spread the cheesecake mixture over 4 slices of bread, press down the sliced strawberries into the filling, and top with another slice of bread.
  3. Prepare the Egg Coating: In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and remaining vanilla extract.
  4. Dip the Sandwiches: Immerse each stuffed sandwich into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off.
  5. Cook the Sandwiches: Heat a skillet and add butter until melted. Cook the stuffed sandwiches for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Transport to Plate: Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and place them on a warm plate.
  7. Top and Serve: Dust with powdered sugar, drizzle with maple syrup, and add whipped cream and extra strawberries on top.

Notes

Make-ahead tip: Prepare the cream cheese filling the night before. Cooking alternatives include using an air fryer.
