Description

Decadent Samoa-Inspired Bars with a buttery crust, gooey coconut caramel filling, and a rich chocolate drizzle.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the flour and salt gradually until well combined.
  4. Press the cookie dough into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden.
  6. Combine the shredded coconut and caramel sauce in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through.
  7. Spread the caramel coconut mixture evenly over the baked crust.
  8. Melt the milk chocolate chips and drizzle over the top.
  9. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week; freeze for longer storage.
