- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mushrooms, diced
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Sauté the diced onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms for about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute.
- Toss in the ground beef or turkey, breaking it up, and cook until browned, about 6-7 minutes.
- Pour beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine.
- Add salt and pepper to taste, then reduce heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- Toast the hamburger buns until crispy.
- Assemble by placing the mixture onto the buns and topping with shredded provolone cheese.
