Description

A delightful blend of Philly cheesesteak flavors wrapped in a hearty, toasted bun.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, diced
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Sauté the diced onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute.
  4. Toss in the ground beef or turkey, breaking it up, and cook until browned, about 6-7 minutes.
  5. Pour beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine.
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste, then reduce heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  7. Toast the hamburger buns until crispy.
  8. Assemble by placing the mixture onto the buns and topping with shredded provolone cheese.
