Description

A comforting dish featuring succulent chicken breasts marinated in a sweet and savory maple garlic sauce, topped with crispy bacon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper and arrange them in the baking dish.
  3. In a heavy skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and crumble over the chicken.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, minced garlic, and black pepper.
  5. Drizzle the sauce over the chicken and bacon.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Allow chicken to come to room temperature before cooking for even results. Consider using an air fryer for a quicker alternative.
