- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
- 2 teaspoons ranch seasoning powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder (divided)
- 8 ounces white cheddar cheese (shredded)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven or air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Spread the frozen fries in a single layer on a baking sheet or in the air fryer basket.
- Bake according to the package instructions until crispy and golden.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat and whisk in the flour, cooking for about 2 minutes.
- Pour in the milk gradually, whisking continuously until thickened (about 5 minutes).
- Add the salt, white pepper, ranch seasoning, and half of the cayenne powder.
- Lower the heat and stir in the cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
- Remove the fries from the oven or air fryer and pour the cheese sauce over them.
- Serve immediately for best taste.
