Description

Delightful Lavender Honey Cupcakes combine floral sweetness with a buttery texture, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons dried lavender buds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in honey and milk until just combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and dried lavender.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring gently until fully incorporated.
  7. Scoop the batter into the cupcake liners, filling them about two-thirds full.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cupcakes to cool before frosting with a butter, powdered sugar, honey, and milk mixture.

Notes

Make-ahead by baking a day in advance and frosting just before serving. Can be customized with maple syrup or lemon zest.
