Description
This Korean-inspired cheesesteak combines marinated beef, crunchy vegetables, and tangy kimchi, all nestled in a toasted hoagie roll and topped with melted cheese.

- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 cup kimchi, chopped
- 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
- 1 cup bell peppers (any color), sliced
- 4 slices provolone or American cheese
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tsp vegetable oil
- Optional: minced garlic and sugar for marinade
Instructions
- Slice the beef sirloin, onion, and bell peppers thinly with a sharp knife.
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, and optional minced garlic and sugar. Marinate the sliced beef for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sauté the onions and bell peppers for about 5 minutes.
- Push the veggies aside and cook the marinated beef until browned, stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes.
- Mix in chopped kimchi and heat for another 2 minutes.
- Toast hoagie rolls, then fill them with the bulgogi mixture and top with cheese. Broil for about 2 minutes until cheese is melted.
Notes
Make ahead the beef marinade the night before for deeper flavors. Customize with additional ingredients like jalapeños for a spicy kick.
