Description

A delicious fusion of Korean bulgogi and classic cheesesteak, featuring tender beef, spicy kimchi, and melted cheese on a toasted hoagie roll.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup kimchi, chopped
  • 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 cup bell peppers (any color), sliced
  • 4 slices provolone or American cheese
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • Optional: minced garlic and sugar for marinade

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef, onion, and bell peppers.
  2. Marinate the beef in soy sauce, sesame oil, and optional ingredients for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Sauté the onions and bell peppers in vegetable oil until softened.
  4. Add the marinated beef and cook until browned.
  5. Incorporate the kimchi into the mixture and cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Assemble the cheesesteaks on toasted hoagie rolls and top with cheese.
  7. Melt the cheese in the broiler for 2 minutes.
