Description

Crispy and flavorful Korean Fried Chicken, coated in a sweet and spicy glaze for an unforgettable taste experience.


Ingredients

  • Chicken pieces (wings or drumsticks)
  • Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Cornstarch
  • Flour
  • Eggs
  • Garlic Powder
  • Ginger Powder
  • Oil for frying
  • Soy Sauce
  • Rice Vinegar
  • Brown Sugar
  • Gochujang
  • Sesame Seeds
  • Green Onions

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken pieces with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a bowl, combine cornstarch, flour, garlic powder, and ginger powder.
  3. Dip each chicken piece in beaten eggs, then coat it with the flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C) and fry chicken in batches for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  5. In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and gochujang over low-medium heat until thickened.
  6. Toss the fried chicken in the sauce until well coated.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For optimal crunch, consider double frying the chicken. If using leftovers, store in an airtight container for up to three days.
