Description

Hot Honey Texas Twinkies are a deliciously spicy and sweet treat that combines the flavors of jalapeños and honey for a unique twist on a classic dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of Twinkies
  • 1/2 cup of hot honey
  • 2 jalapeños, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup of cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, chopped jalapeños, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Carefully slice each Twinkie in half lengthwise.
  4. Fill each Twinkie half with the cheese and jalapeño mixture.
  5. Place the filled Twinkies on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and drizzle hot honey over the top before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of jalapeños based on your spice preference.
  • Hot honey can be made by mixing honey with chili flakes or hot sauce.
  • These can be served as an appetizer or a fun party snack.
