- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger (grated)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, whisk together pineapple juice, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, brown sugar, sesame oil, and black pepper until sugar dissolves.
- Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken in a resealable bag or dish, pour marinade over it, seal or cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight for best flavor).
- Preheat the Grill: Heat the grill to medium-high.
- Grill the Chicken: Remove chicken from marinade (discard leftover marinade) and grill for 6-7 minutes on each side until juices run clear and char is formed.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from grill, sprinkle with green onions, and serve hot.
Notes
For deeper flavor, marinate overnight. Control saltiness by using low-sodium soy sauce.
