Description

Delightful and tropical Hawaiian BBQ chicken wraps filled with flavorful barbecue chicken, fresh pineapple, and crisp vegetables, all wrapped in a soft tortilla.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2/3 cup pineapple, chopped
  • 1/4 red onion, chopped
  • 1 romaine heart, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 4 large flour tortillas

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Cook the chicken pieces, seasoning with salt and pepper, until golden brown and cooked through (about 5-7 minutes).
  3. Add the barbecue sauce over the cooked chicken and toss to coat.
  4. Assemble the wrap by layering the tortilla with the barbecue chicken, mozzarella cheese, pineapple, red onion, romaine, and cilantro.
  5. Roll the tortilla burrito-style, tucking in the sides and securing if needed.
  6. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

Consider marinating the chicken in barbecue sauce ahead of time to enhance flavor. You can also use an air fryer for a crispier texture.
