Description

A luxurious take on the classic grilled cheese sandwich, featuring creamy goat cheese and a touch of honey, all nestled between perfectly toasted slices of sourdough bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz Goat Cheese
  • 2 slices Bread (sourdough or whole grain)
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Butter (or olive oil)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Let the goat cheese sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
  2. Assemble the Sandwich: Generously spread goat cheese on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Drizzle Some Honey: Add a light drizzle of honey on top of the goat cheese on one slice.
  4. Close the Sandwich: Place the second slice of bread on top, cheese-side down.
  5. Prepare the Skillet: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the butter.
  6. Cook the Sandwich: Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden.
  7. Finish Cooking: Flip and cook the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  8. Serve Warm: Slice in half and serve warm, garnished with more honey if desired.

Notes

For best results, use room-temperature goat cheese for easy spreading. To store leftovers, keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
