- 6 cups apples (peeled, cored, and sliced)
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon

- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk or cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set it to 425°F (220°C).
- Prepare the crust: Roll out one pie crust and fit it into a large sheet pan.
- Combine the filling: In a large bowl, mix apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, cornstarch, and salt.
- Pour the apple mixture into the crust-lined sheet pan.
- Top with the second crust: Roll it out and lay it over the apple filling, sealing the edges.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and bubbling.
- Prepare the glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Glaze the pie after cooling slightly.
- Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
