Description

Delicious oven-roasted mushrooms glazed with soy sauce and honey, perfect as a side dish or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 16 oz (450g) fresh whole mushrooms (button or cremini)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • Fresh herbs (like parsley or cilantro) for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Gently clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth.
  3. Trim the stems if desired.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, and black pepper.
  5. Add the cleaned mushrooms to the bowl and toss until coated.
  6. Arrange the mushrooms in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  7. Roast for about 20 minutes, tossing halfway through.

Notes

Can be prepared a day in advance. Avoid overcrowding the baking sheet for optimal crispiness.
