- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional mix-ins (chocolate chips, fruit, nuts)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Whisk the mixture until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- If desired, add any mix-ins to the mixture.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Once the ice cream reaches a soft-serve consistency, transfer it to an airtight container.
- Freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
- Scoop and serve your homemade ice cream!
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use more heavy cream and less milk.
- Experiment with different flavors by adding cocoa powder, fruit purees, or extracts.
