Description

A warm, crispy chicken sandwich with tangy dill pickles, perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup dill pickles, sliced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 sandwich buns
  • Lettuce and tomato for toppings (optional)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Combine breadcrumbs with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  4. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk and coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Toast the sandwich buns in the oven for a few minutes.
  7. Assemble the sandwiches with baked chicken, dill pickles, and optional lettuce and tomatoes.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For maximum flavor, marinate chicken overnight if possible. Consider using an air fryer for a quicker alternative.
