- 2 chicken breasts
- 1 cup dill pickles, sliced
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 sandwich buns
- Lettuce and tomato for toppings (optional)
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine breadcrumbs with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
- Remove the chicken from the buttermilk and coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Toast the sandwich buns in the oven for a few minutes.
- Assemble the sandwiches with baked chicken, dill pickles, and optional lettuce and tomatoes.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For maximum flavor, marinate chicken overnight if possible. Consider using an air fryer for a quicker alternative.
