Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup chopped scallions (green onions)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and boiling water until a rough dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough until smooth, cover with a damp cloth, and let rest for 30 minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into 4 pieces and roll each into a thin circle (about 8 inches in diameter).
  4. Brush each circle with oil, sprinkle with salt, and add chopped scallions.
  5. Roll each circle into a log, curl into a spiral, then flatten into a patty.
  6. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry each pancake until golden brown and crispy (about 2-3 minutes per side).
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
