Description

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • 1 tablespoon brewed espresso or coffee (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix together the cocoa powder, granulated sugar, melted butter, eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Add the flour and salt, stirring gently until just combined.
  4. Fold in the brewed espresso and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool completely in the pan.
  8. Whisk together the powdered sugar, heavy cream, the remaining vanilla extract, and brewed espresso for the frosting.
  9. Spread the café latte frosting evenly over the cooled brownies.
  10. Slice and serve.
