A heavenly pizza dough recipe that creates a bubbly, crispy crust, perfect for all your pizza creations.
Ingredients

- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour (or bread flour for extra chew)
- 1 ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 1 ¼ cups warm water (about 110°F)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Optional: garlic powder and dried oregano for added flavor
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast, allowing them to froth together for 5–10 minutes.
- In a larger mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt, then pour in the foamy yeast mixture along with the olive oil. Stir until you achieve a shaggy dough consistency.
- Knead the dough by hand on a lightly floured surface for about 8–10 minutes or use a stand mixer with a dough hook on low speed.
- Lightly grease a bowl, place your dough inside, and cover it with a kitchen towel. Let it rise in a warm spot for 1–2 hours or until doubled in size.
- After the dough has risen, punch it down gently, divide it into two equal balls, and let them rest for about 15 minutes.
- Gently stretch and shape each ball into a 10–12 inch circle by hand.
- Preheat your oven to 500°F (or the highest setting) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.
- Top your dough with your favorite ingredients and bake for 7–10 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and crisp.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use whole wheat flour or let the dough rise overnight in the fridge. Adjust baking times if using a different cooking method.
