Description

Delicious cookies combining the rich flavors of brown sugar and cinnamon with a gooey caramel core.


Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Caramel candies, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together brown sugar, granulated sugar, and softened butter until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  5. Add the dry mix to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until incorporated.
  6. Take about a tablespoon of dough and flatten it in your palm, placing a caramel candy in the center.
  7. Mold the dough around the caramel to form a ball.
  8. Place the cookie balls on a lined baking sheet, leaving space for expansion.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and slightly firm.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet briefly before transferring to a wire rack.
