Description

Tender and decadent Maple Donut Bars with a rich maple glaze, perfect for a cozy morning treat or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • 2 large Eggs
  • ½ cup Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 1 cup Milk
  • ½ cup Pure Maple Syrup
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar (for glaze)
  • 23 tablespoons Maple Syrup (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk the dry ingredients (flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg) in a large mixing bowl until well combined.
  3. Mix the wet ingredients (eggs, melted butter, milk, maple syrup) in a separate bowl until smooth.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, folding gently until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar and maple syrup in a small bowl.
  8. Cool the bars for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack and drizzling with glaze.

Notes

Make-ahead option: prepare the batter a day ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake. You can also add chocolate chips or nuts for extra flavor.
