- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
- 2 large Eggs
- ½ cup Unsalted Butter, melted
- 1 cup Milk
- ½ cup Pure Maple Syrup
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar (for glaze)
- 2–3 tablespoons Maple Syrup (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk the dry ingredients (flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg) in a large mixing bowl until well combined.
- Mix the wet ingredients (eggs, melted butter, milk, maple syrup) in a separate bowl until smooth.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, folding gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar and maple syrup in a small bowl.
- Cool the bars for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack and drizzling with glaze.
Notes
Make-ahead option: prepare the batter a day ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake. You can also add chocolate chips or nuts for extra flavor.
