Description

Wholesome and chewy banana oatmeal bars packed with flavors of ripe bananas, nut butter, and chocolate chips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1½ cups mashed bananas (about 3 bananas)
  • ½ cup nut butter (like almond or peanut butter)
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the bananas in a large mixing bowl until creamy and smooth.
  3. Add in the nut butter, rolled oats, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, chocolate chips, and salt; stir until everything merges into a deliciously sticky mixture.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan, gently pressing it down with a spatula to ensure even cooking.
  5. Bake in the oven for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the edges turn a lovely golden-brown.
  6. Allow your bars to cool completely in the pan before transferring them to a cutting board for slicing into squares.

Notes

Use overripe bananas for maximum sweetness. You can modify the nut butter for a nut-free version.
