Description

Delicious banana bread cinnamon rolls topped with cream cheese frosting, making every breakfast extra special.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package cream cheese (8 oz)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Whisk until combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture gently.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and roll it into a rectangle, about 1/2 inch thick.
  7. Spread melted butter over the surface and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  8. Roll up the dough into a tight log and slice into pieces, about 1 inch thick.
  9. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cut side up, and let them rise for 30 minutes.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth for frosting.
  12. Slather the frosting on warm rolls.

Notes

Allow rolls to rise for the best texture. Use ripe bananas for enhanced sweetness.
