Description

Flavorful and crunchy tuna cakes paired with a spicy creamy mayo, offering a delightful fusion of Asian-inspired tastes.


Ingredients

  • 1 can Canned Tuna, drained
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
  • 1 large Egg, beaten
  • 2 Green Onions, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Ginger, minced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Spices (such as sesame oil or chili flakes)
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Sriracha or Chili Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Lime Juice

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained canned tuna, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, green onions, cilantro, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and spices. Mix until well incorporated.
  2. Shape the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Pan-fry the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sriracha, and lime juice to prepare the spicy mayo.
  6. Serve the hot tuna cakes with the spicy mayo on the side.

Notes

Make ahead by mixing ingredients and forming patties a day in advance. Store covered in the fridge.
